While this truck is full of exceptional specifications and driver comfort items (very nice truck), fuel mileage wise, this one started out in high 5's (disappointing). Then, after ten thousand or so miles it has apparently stabilized in the 6.2 mpg, area. The issues were and are: Heavy weights (always hauling 80,000 lb,) high horse power, at western speed limits... but, I have learned a couple more tricks that should help get future trucks operating under similar conditions toward the middle 6's... possibly better?
This T600 in the background is an example of a T600 custom built for an award winning household mover couple based out of New Mexico. They planned to run this truck 4 or 5 years... then because of tax purposes sell it and buy another.
I hope to keep in contact and report how this truck is doing over time... what they like, don't like or would change.
