Brenhan sent me an email. By fifty or so emails later we had this truck specified and ordered... He went with a 530 HP ISX Cummins - 18 Speed AutoShift. After a considerable amount of research, the ratio ended up as 3.70. We ended up FedExing Dupont paint chips half way across the world... and we got it right.
The order was placed so that the truck could be picked up in June 05, concurrent with the American Truck Historical Society national truck show that was due to run at the auto auction park Auburn, Indiana -a small town with a big automotive history 20 miles to my north.
The big surprise for me when I first met Brenhan was his youth. His emails carried the wisdom of a much older man... and even today, I am still not sure which side of twenty years Brenhan stood then. Bright young man.
The truck we specified is shown above at a NZ truck show, I believe was held in early 06. This was the first Cummins EGR engine in New Zealand.
I bet that in twenty years Brenhan still owns this truck and it will still look as new as above, still top quality, still American built, still powerful and still seen at New Zealand truck shows. See this truck as featured on www.xtrucking.com on Feb, 2007. Xtrucking.com is a New Zealand truck related web site that features great truck photos.
Thanks Brenhan!
