Custom Sleeper w/ transition fairing  This truck more than pays for it self in fuel savings alone, over the previous (very nice truck)
Notice the transition fairing option, as opposed to the stainless steel transition farings on many of my trucks.

The Kexels' job is in a high miles per year high speed east west, 65k gross weight air freight application.  When fuel prices started jumping and their beautiful truck was getting 4.7 mpg, they new they  were in the wrong truck for the job.

Chris and Myron  wanted a truck that would feel like a nice home away from home, be fuel and maintenance efficient and they hoped for a truck that would last many miles.

One key goal was to reach the middle six mile per gallon mark on most round trips.  20,000 miles per month?  By saving about  two miles per gallon over the truck it replaces...   it turns out that makes more than a payment...   at $3.00 fuel, on their run,  that works out to about $3,600 a month savings, more than enough to make a payment!

4.7  $3.00 20,000 4255
mpg cost  /gallon miles  /month gal  /month
6.5  $3.00 20.000 3076

And, that is how it worked out.  The Kexel's do  get 6.5 mpg or greater, most of the time.  The savings they get puts them into one of the nicest trucks on the roads for FREE, relative to the beautiful 379 they had.

I expect this Million Mile spec package to  last nearly forever... just like the stuff my customers  have been buying for years now... (most of the other trucks on this web site)

YOU may not run that many miles...  but;

 if you Drop the above miles by half, down to 10,000 a month and drop the fuel down to $2.70 and still there is a $1,500 a month running cost difference for those of you that are running at 4.7 MPG (4.7 is a fairly common MPG for a number of hoods )

mpg 6.5 mpg 4.7
miles 10000 miles 10000
 $/G $2.70  $/G $2.70
cost 1 $4,154 cost 2 $5,745
difference -$1,590.83
