I suppose you have already discovered the cost of owning a heavy truck in America often runs in the neighborhood of one hundred thousand dollars, each year,  plus or minus.  The pieces of  and the components of that hundred grand vary widely with the individual situation.

This section touches on some of those ones and zeros that can make a difference to you.

Really, for the large or small enterprise that works trucks, the non-regulated aspect of truck ownership rules are mostly the same.  The efficiency and reliability of the equipment and its' operator is what the customer pays for.  As a truck buyer, your decisions and choices today will impact the degree of efficiency and reliability of the truck and driver marriage far into the future.  Since the future is always in the process of becoming today, it obviously serves your best interests to use great care when making truck buying decisions.

Some visitors may look to strengthen your knowledge of:

  • how reliable this proposed vehicle going to be and for how long?

  • Is the deal structured right?

  • Weathering a truck business cycle. truck expenses

  • Buy lease balloon, what is all this stuff?

  • How long to finance?    WHY?

  • Who will want to drive it?

  • Hire it?

  • Who else would want to put it to use above other options sometime in the future?

  • Taxes ...who knows?

  • Who will pay "good money" to limit my potential losses for  this purchase sometime in the future if things should go wrong?

  • How do I limit my maintenance running costs and driver acceptance risks if longer term operation becomes necessary?

  • How much is it going to cost to own this vehicle?

You are welcome to jump around my progressively disorganized site ...site disorganization is   what happens when I am forced to actually sell a truck  ... making money stops my train of thought.  Then, I must change focus to the individual situation rather than the generalized.   So, the site, you get snippets.  Well intentioned stuff though that may or may not work for you.  So read at your own risk.

Most any truck owner should find truth here.  If you don't think so ...send a note to the complaint department.  That's' me and I would be glad to learn from you ...maybe banter back and forth a bit :))  I am not opposed to publishing an opposing view.

Spending MONEY to make Money (buying into a fair exchange)

Are your plans to grow a successful business where heavy truck(s) play a key role?

Are you having trouble finding the right heavy duty truck, truck dealership or dealer salesperson to help you meet your goals?  Do you have confidence those you have found will be in business in a couple years?

  • Competitive Pricing (not so cheap that we can't keep the doors open tomorrow but not so high that we drive you away)
  • FINANCING (often financing is easier said than done, we have the resources to make it happen.  If you have a credit issue, we can either get you done or offer an honest assessment of what it takes to get it done )
  • Knowledge based (110+ years of Kenworth truck sales experience sits within 25 feet or so of this keyboard)

Many of my customers live in far off places like Texas, New Jersey, Montana, Colorado, California, Wyoming, Vermont, Florida, N. Carolina ...all over, really.  They slip through "The Fort", often just to say HI.  Or, to catch a service a part, maybe to correct an issue better handled here.

Getting it right can mean thousands of dollars to a truck owner. Generally I encourage spec's  around the issue at hand and encourage you to also put  an eye on tomorrow.  Opportunity in this industry is a moving target.  Lack of flexibility in equipment; (a spec that can work well in several or many key markets or a truck of sufficient quality that it can be readily sold without compromising the next opportunity )

Trucks and Equipment widely perceived as very high in quality reduces risk!

We have the experience here. If the trucks application was described with   accuracy, we should be able to get it right.  Many of the principals of my form of getting it right are described or reached through the column to your left.   I suppose it is a bit easier for me to do because I have the resources.   Financially, the Palmer Group is one of the strongest truck dealerships in the nation.  Kenworth builds a heck of a truck.

Meanwhile, it  doesn't happen often,  but when issues appear,  Fort Wayne is simply chock full of trucking resources within a fairly concentrated area.

Fort Wayne earned the title Heavy Truck Capital of the World when for nearly half a century our  massive IHC plant   produced about half the Heavy Trucks made in America.

While it closed 20 years ago, the big truck plant had its' part in forming the industry and also made for the concentration and mix of major industry suppliers that circle Fort Wayne today.  With the truck set up portion of the heavy truck deal I have great vendors to choose from, competitive, fine work and a willingness to shoulder responsibility.

If problems do occur, I expect and most often receive World Class Service and expect my vendors and get it.  They often shoulder more than fair responsibility in solving issues relating to their product or service or your success.  Like you, I don't have to buy from them.  I choose to because they have a low error rate, are resourceful  and have been good to their word.  This can be very important to a truck owner if things go awry.   We all want you to succeed and I play chief cheerleader / facilitator on the equipment end.     Each of my players know that your success is required if you are to ever again buy equipment from us.

And that is some of the reasons we are successful at serving people like you.

In short, I sell new and used Kenworth Trucks and have for a while. I try to sell smart trucking, but have a little fun with it too.  My customers tend to be hard working and do well.

I work for an exceptionally Financially Stable Dealership Group that has been in business since the 1960's.  I know and work with people and businesses that can do anything with a truck  ...and get it right.  I have a fifteen year track record here.  My deals feature;

  • Durable Equipment
  • Quality Equipment
  • designed to last through the truck business cycles
  • Timeless heavy truck ownership strategy that works
  • for new and rebuilding fleets, owner operators and business owners looking for quality equipment, competitive pricing and stable supplier / partners

  1. Used Kenworth trucks

  2. New stock Kenworth trucks

  3. Custom ordered Kenworth Trucks can insure your future, larger or small.  Proven strategy ...ordered to your spec by long established, respected industry professional's and authorized dealership group.

news flash: Truckwebbies' thrive in tough trucking economy! (Aug-2001)

99+% trucker success- 15 Years promoting the same fundamental ideas!*

So far, so good.  The truckweb truck ownership system has worked nearly every time for the risk taking truck buyer over a 15 year period.  Hundreds of trucks and their owners have trucks that have served them well.  Luck has played a part.  But, fact is that every one of these guys got a truck(s) that did all that was asked of it and held driver appeal, a premium value and customer image.  After a relatively short period of time, if they need to get out, they can and could, or they could afford to operate the equipment, on and on.

With trucks, it is the cycle.  It takes staying power to beat the cycle.   Staying power is not being stuck with a truck(s) that ultimately is a potential maintenance hog that no one wants to drive ...or buy.

or call note: the trucks in the inventory links may be sold or a bit out of date.  If so, I often can point you to something similar.   I specialize in custom sleeper and a wide variety of other custom ordered trucks.

* note: on the testimonials link above I used my ebay feedback.  I have no control about what they say other than to honor my word to them.
